Begun thinking about learning goals
Sent Email confirmation to the secretary of the principal to schedule appointment to see Rutherford College principal, on the 19th March before he makes his departure.
Had interview with the principal, Sending him more details about Co-op for him to read and to find a possible supervisor for me. I will be working on my learning agreement as per the assessment.
Begin composing learning agreement, as per the examples and learning outcomes.Will meet with AUT supervisor once I have a draft in place.
Written draft learning agreement and sent it to the coordinator of AUT Co-op and AUT supervisor for review.
Had meeting with AUT supervisor concerning learning agreement. Also touched base with Rutherford supervisor who will be giving me feedback concerning my placement commencing in term 3 or beginning semester 2.
Everything is ready to go, I will be briefing myself on my previous notes from my certificate days on the methodology and protocol when teaching a class; grammar focus vs task focused lessons etc Assignments have me snowed under and will be for the next few weeks. I am set to start semester 2, twice a week depending on my timetable. Assignments & Presenataions Assignments Assignments and preparing materials to read for theory based searches. In particular, student motivation, language teaching methodology and the NZQA curriculum Final assignments. I had my first day at my placement, primarily to sort out the learning agreement and to get a feel of the school I started my coop placement properly, I will be with 4 classes, 3 times a week. Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays. I will be researching their standards and helping them with extra sessions if needed. Begin working with the students who wish to be helped |
Write email to schedule meeting with school Principals' secretary. Work on learning agreement, learning aims and outcomes, and update CV before the meeting on the 19th. Also to consolidate materials required for meeting, such as Co-operative Education outline and previous teaching reviews accumulated from previous employment. Hand in my CV and learning goals for assessment 1 and 2. Begin work on my learning agreement Organize meeting with AUT supervisor, once learning agreement draft is complete Will submit draft through turnitin application.
